Initially revealed in January under the mysterious title Age 1000, many hardcore fans speculated that the project might be a revival of the 2010 MMORPG Dragon Ball Online. However, a recent trailer—and a slight social media slip-up on Bandai Namco’s Southeast Asian YouTube channel—has confirmed that this is indeed the next mainline Xenoverse title.
The most poignant aspect of this announcement is the confirmed involvement of the late Akira Toriyama. Although the legendary creator passed away in 2024, Bandai Namco revealed that development for Xenoverse 3 began in the late 2010s.
