‘Most Wanted’ Roguelike mode overview

In Most Wanted, players select bounties from a board, defeat waves of enemies and mini-bosses, collect perks, and build runs to confront final bosses:

  • Boss Escalation: Bounties target members of the Yotei Six, culminating in a final confrontation against Lord Saito.
  • Progression: Players earn local currency during runs to unlock new techniques, weapon upgrades, charms, and playable characters outside of combat.
  • Shared Cosmetics: Unlocked cosmetic items carry over to the main story campaign and the Echoes of Sekigahara expansion.
  • Build Structure: Individual runs are defined by perks chosen during gameplay (weapon mastery, gear combinations, summons, parries, and survivability) rather than initial character selection alone.

Jin Sakai adaptation

‘Echoes of Sekigahara’ story expansion

The narrative expansion alternates between Atsu’s past on the main island during the Battle of Sekigahara—exploring her history with Nagato—and the present day:

  • The Vipers: In the present day, Nagato arrives in Ezo while pursued by The Vipers, an outlaw group loyal to Cobra that has devastated the Ashoro Foothills.
  • New Content: Atsu pairs with Nagato to locate a captured companion, introducing new enemy types, weapons, Mythic Tales, skills, armor sets, and cosmetics.

Free update for all game owners

A free patch deploying October 1 for all base game owners includes:

  • Beauty of Yotei Mode: Allows free-roam exploration of Ezo within Photo Mode.
  • Watanabe Mode Tracks: Adds new music tracks across valid game areas.
  • Transmog & Accessibility: Enables cosmetic armor appearances over separate equipment stats, alongside a new high-contrast accessibility toggle.
