In addition to Bob’s reveal, the company announced a new animated series titled Tekken! Cartoon, locked in the dates for the Tekken World Tour 2026 finals, and celebrated player Arslan Ash’s victory in the Tekken 8 tournament.
Originally introduced in Tekken 6, Bob returns to the franchise with his signature combination of speed and strength, alongside his nickname, the “Savior of the Onigiri.” According to the new lore presented by Bandai Namco, Bob was severely beaten by Bryan before the 7th King of Iron Fist Tournament and ended up hospitalized. During his recovery, he decided to create his own hamburger recipe. Upon being discharged, he turned the idea into a highly successful restaurant chain, eventually expanding the business with “Bob’s Onigiri.” Despite his newfound fortune, he steps back into the arena after discovering Kazuya Mishima’s plans for world domination.
