Albion Online has been officially announced for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles, with a launch date set for April 21, 2026. Developed by Sandbox Interactive, the MMORPG is already available on PC and mobile devices and is now expanding its reach with full cross-play support.

The arrival on consoles will allow new players to enter the world of Albion, while veterans can continue their journeys using their existing accounts and progress.

Xbox version features adapted interface and controls

The console version has been optimized for fluid controller gameplay. Key improvements include:

  • Redesigned Interface: Built specifically for controller navigation.
  • Adapted Combat System: Tweaked for console playability.
  • Overhauled Main Screens: Key menus such as the inventory and marketplace have been reformatted.
  • New Accessibility Features: Added to make the game more inclusive for the console ecosystem without compromising gameplay depth.

Seamless cross-play and unified progress

A major highlight of this release is the total support for cross-play. Players can access their accounts across all platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, PC, and mobile, without losing any progress.

  • Shared progression: Items, characters, and status are synchronized across all devices.
  • Unified community: There are no platform-specific servers, ensuring the player base remains connected.

“Radiant Wilds” update: visual boosts and new PvP

Shortly before the Xbox debut, the game will receive the Radiant Wilds update on April 13, 2026. This update includes:

  • Graphical enhancements for modern systems.
  • Performance optimizations.
  • Improved controller support.
  • A brand-new PvP mode.

These technical upgrades will benefit console players directly, as they will have access to the updated version right at launch.

Expanding the player base

The launch on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S represents a significant step in the title’s expansion. By combining technical improvements with a consolidated community from other platforms, the game arrives on Xbox with the potential to further strengthen its multiplayer ecosystem.
