The bombshell announcement was made on Sunday, May 24, 2026, confirming Yujiro as a headline character for the upcoming Year 3 Season Pass. While a teaser trailer highlighted some of his most iconic and terrifying moments from the manga, Bandai Namco has yet to share official gameplay footage of his combat style.

Kunimitsu arrives this week

Before Yujiro steps into the ring next year, the Year 3 Season Pass kicks off with a familiar face. Kunimitsu is making her return to the franchise with a staggered rollout:

  • Early Access: May 27, 2026
  • Full Release: June 1, 2026

A recent gameplay deep dive showcased her high-speed kit, which relies heavily on quick kunai strikes and agile ninjutsu techniques designed to extend juggle combos. Her cinematic special attack features her wielding the Kuatatou katana, channeling demonic energy to execute a devastating finisher.

New stage: “Subsea Lockdown”

Alongside the character reveals, Bandai Namco showcased a brand-new arena called Subsea Lockdown.

Also included in the Year 3 Season Pass, this underwater battleground is scheduled to launch during the upcoming Southern Hemisphere summer (late 2026 / early 2027).
