Newly formed South Korean studio Novaflare has officially unveiled its debut title, Project Rabbit. The dark fantasy action RPG seeks to carve out a unique niche by marrying the brutal combat of the Soulslike genre with the high-stakes PvPvE mechanics of an extraction game.
The game takes heavy aesthetic inspiration from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, weaving it together with elements of traditional Asian folklore. The grim, twisted fairytale setting draws immediate comparisons to American McGee’s Alice series, as well as the world design of fellow South Korean hit Lies of P.
While the core combat loop embraces the deliberate, punishing style popularized by FromSoftware, Project Rabbit shifts the traditional formula into a multiplayer extraction framework:
The Risk: Players can enter the twisted Wonderland solo or in small squads to hunt down monsters and collect rare equipment.
Full Loot Loss: If you die before reaching an extraction point, all gear and loot acquired during that run are permanently lost.
PvPvE Threat: In addition to aggressive mythological monsters and bosses, players will cross paths with rival user squads competing for the same limited resources and extraction zones.
Preliminary PC system requirements
Project Rabbit already has an official Steam store page detailing its hardware requirements. However, the listing contains several glaring placeholder typos (such as listing Windows 11 as a “processor” and mislabeling Gigabytes of RAM as Megabytes).
Accounting for the formatting errors, the preliminary requirements are relatively modest:
