Available across all platforms, the update allows players to pause the action to capture images with greater creative freedom. The new feature goes beyond the basics: players can move the camera, adjust poses, and even change the characters’ facial expressions to create custom scenes, including situations that would not naturally occur during the campaign.

Cinematic and technical enhancements

A key highlight of the patch involves changes to certain cutscenes. According to Capcom, specific character expressions were adjusted to better convey emotions, though the company did not specify which exact segments were modified.

Other improvements included in the update:

  • Progression Fixes: resolved an error that could prevent game progress under certain conditions.
  • Localization: adjustments to texts in several languages.
  • PC-Specific Fixes: on Steam and the Epic Games Store, Capcom resolved visual issues linked to GPU drivers and a bug causing crashes in specific scenarios.
  • General Stability: various corrections aimed at improving the overall gameplay experience.

A record-breaking launch

This patch arrives shortly after a major milestone for the title. Capcom recently confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem has become the fastest-selling launch in the franchise’s history, surpassing 6 million copies sold in just over two weeks.
